Senior Consultant or Manager
Responsibilities:

·       Lead the planning, management, execution and expansion of consulting mandates related to GHG Assessment and reporting, carbon offset project development, monitoring and verification
·       Lead and guide the team on field data collection (especially for forestry/agroforestry projects) for project development and preparation of monitoring reports for third party verification/auditing purposes
·       Lead and directly manage a small but growing teams of consultants and technical experts
·       Work with clients, partners, and internal/external technical teams to ensure smooth and accurate data collection and delivery of key outcomes
·       Originate, structure and close new deals on GHG assessment and advisory, carbon markets and Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) markets
·       Lead development of technical documents and assessments as required under different GHG, carbon and sustainability standards
·       Establish, manage, and grow relationships with existing and new clients, partners, industry players and other stakeholders to grow business and drive climate action
·       Advise and provide technical leadership on consulting mandates relating to climate change, decarbonisation, and carbon markets to both internal and external clients
·       Lead and support business development including submission of bids and proposals
·       Provide technical support and leadership on funds, new multi-stakeholder initiatives, partnerships, strategy development and other growth areas
·       Participate in industry working groups and related market committees
·       Represent the company at seminars, conferences, workshops, and forums
·       Lead, mentor and empower team members

Requirements:

To qualify for this position with excellent potential for career advancement, candidates must have:

·       At least 10+ years of direct experience in climate change, GHG assessments, carbon markets, sustainability and/or another relevant field
·       Experience in execution and management of carbon mitigation and removal projects under various carbon standards including preparation of technical documents
·       Experience in GHG assessment, corporate climate issues, life-cycle (LCA) assessment, scope 3 assessment and reporting, climate change strategy development, climate related risk assessment, scenario analysis, stakeholder engagement, TCFD alignment and CDP Disclosure
·       Experience in developing new carbon methodologies under various standards is a plus
·       Experience in economic, financial analysis or modelling
·       Excellent communication skills with ability to develop high level of credibility with clients, and partners
·       Ability to analyse complex issues in the context of client engagements and deliver practical solutions
·       Experience in developing forestry, blue carbon and/or agroforestry projects is a plus
·       Experience working on large and complex data-sets
·       Advanced written and verbal communication skills, in English
·       Strong project management, organisational skills and attention to detail
·       Strong business acumen and business development skills
·       Commitment to supporting the team in a growing and dynamic business
·       A university degree (ideally at a Master’s level or higher) in engineering, energy, economics, economics, sustainability and/or another appropriate academic field
