Mr. Soeren Varming, CEO (1959-2010)
Mr. Soeren Varming was the CEO and founder of YTL-SV Carbon. He had been active in climate change issues for more than 15 years and since 2003 he had lived in Kuala Lumpur. He had been involved in all aspects of climate change:
- Advising governments and private companies on mitigation strategies.
- Developing CDM projects for private companies and for buyers of CERs.
- Assisting host countries in setting national approval systems.
- Research in design of policy measures for mitigation of climate change.
Mr. Soeren Varming has experience in climate change issues from a large number of countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Iran, Nigeria, Estonia, Poland, Russia and Ukraine
Mr. Soeren Varming oversees a strong team of consultants with collective experience in CDM of over 10 years and working on various methodologies. All the consultants are highly qualified from science background with past work experiences in liquid and solid waste management, renewable energy project, waste water industry, palm oil refinery and quality management and assurance fields.
